In BRS Belgium , we are launching a new role of Senior Strategic Buyer , with a mission of ;
- Drive continuous improvement through supplier relationships.
- Protect the company (management of supply shortages, disputes, incidents, etc.).
- Revisit processes with an ambition to progress
- Help increase financial results,

The heart of the business consists first of all in satisfying the needs of internal customers, obtaining the best performance from suppliers (Quality / Cost / Deadlines / Services) and optimizing complete costs.

Your main responsibilities:

Overall responsibilities:

  • Accountable to the Sodexo Pass Belgium for the delivery of strategic procurement – savings delivery, value generation, stakeholder satisfaction, strategic procurement guidance, demand management, etc.
  • Engage with the business to understand their requirements and identify sourcing opportunities that deliver value,
  • Build strong stakeholder engagement –ensuring early & full engagement in strategic projects,
  • Build & maintain category plans for complex categories which provide a clear view of upcoming procurement projects
  • Deliver complex procurement projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams, with support from stakeholders as required, and ensuring the quality & timeliness of procurement projects,
  • Anticipates key risks. Proactively develops and executes mitigating strategies effectively as and when required,
  • Provide clear leadership/guidance to stakeholders,
  • Ensure highest quality levels in application of Category Management and Strategic Sourcing processes
  • Sets the standard and provides guidance to stakeholders across in-scope departments on negotiation, Contract Management and SRM
  • Ongoing periodic benefits tracking for complex contracts/projects

Core Capabilities:

  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills – confident at influencing senior stakeholders
  • Confident and effective communicator
  • Confidently leads cross functional teams to deliver complex procurement projects, guiding and influencing at key stakeholder engagement/sign off points
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to challenging timescales, agile
  • Expert in key procurement processes: strategic sourcing, category management, contract management, SRM
  • Good knowledge of S2P & P2P processes and tools
  • Mastery of core sourcing skill-set - analysis, project management, sourcing strategy development, strong negotiator


  • 5-6 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in a Management Consulting / Financial Services / Business Services environment
  • Strong knowledge of IS&T and digital categories
  • Bachelor’s degree. MBA is a plus
